Black Moon Party

Hello Everyone!

Thanks to our Dutch friend Anke I can finally upload some photos of my best experience in Thailand, namely the Black moon Party. The most popular parties at Ko Phangan are the Full Moon and the Half Moon. Fortunately we got to experience the Black Moon Party, which is less crowded (about 200- 300 ravers 'only'). Someone told us that the music was better too.

We started drinking at the Dutch girls' bungalow and then we headed towards the Black moon party, which was held on Ban Tai beach.

Jimmy, Nienke and I drinking in the taxi... Fortunately the staff at the party did not check the mysterious carrier bag before entering the beach.. We had our custom made 'buckets' hehe...

As you can imagine, we all got drunk and silly and got ourselves matching lizards painted on our legs.

I have been to numerous rave parties in the past and this is the first time I have raved at the beach. It was fantastic! Nienke and I were dancing around bare- feet on the sand and in the ocean, I would love to do that again!!

There were also people performing fire dancing, also known as fire twirling. Very entertaining!

Oh, I don't remember any stray dogs at the rave...

In Thailand people usually drink buckets filled with alcohol. They are very cheap and it makes you drunk quick and easy. It consists of Thai Whisky, redbull and coke. Doesn't sound very nice but it's actually quite tasty

Overall, the rave was amazing! Nienke and I danced for about six hours. If you're going to the southern part of Thailand, you should definitely go to the rave parties in Ko Phangan... The atmosphere was amazing and raving at the beach was unforgettable... The music was great too, hard psy- trance...
